Tiles aren’t just for your countertop! June 24, 2008

You can do more than your countertop with tilesI found this idea at Splitcoaststampers.

I ordered some word background stamps from Addictedtorubberstamps.com (here is a coupon code for them ATRSDCRG).  They had so many rubber stamps that I didn’t even get to look at them all.

I then went to Joannes and someone there was nice enough to give me their extra 50% off coupon.  I bought black STAZON ink.  Normally 8.99 or 9.99. I also bought some felt squares for .25 cents each for backing.

Then off to Lowe’s.  The small 4X4 tile in the picture was .32 cents. And they had 6X6 tiles on sale for .18 cents! SCORE!!!!

This only took a few minutes to put together.  I glued the felt on the back with Elmers glue.  I know this easel is a little big, I have to buy some smaller ones.

In addition to the stamp you see, I got one with word background and Fleur De Lis overlay, and another with the overlay word Thankful.  Very nice!!!

These will make very nice birthday and Christmas gifts.

I love to make things that are simple yet so cool! I am the same with baking and candy making.  So, if you have cool stuff to share email me!

My cat Holly meets Rex the turtle June 24, 2008

We just got Rex the turtle last saturday.  My cat Holly is just intriqued.

Rex is pretty cool to watch anyway, but my cat has always been a very curious pet.  She has the sweetest most inquisitve personality.

My baby isn’t such a baby anymore. He is 10 now. Baseball is over and we are on to
Football in July.  I hope I won’t be one of those embarrassing moms at football. But I am really aprehensive about him playing.  Hope he doesn’t get hurt.

Pretty Package CakeI found this on Family Fun. It is very cute! And so easy!!! 1 cake mix, 1 container of white frosting, a package of Spree candy and red Fruit Rollups.  I am sure you can figure out the rest!!! I made 2 of these in 2 days. And they came out looking exactly like the picture. That doesn’t happen very often for me :)

(It is a 9X13 cake).
